ROMANS ROAD TO SALVATION

1. Our Need for Salvation

Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
This verse highlights humanity’s universal problem—sin. Everyone has sinned and falls short of God’s standard of perfection.

2. The Consequences of Sin

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Sin earns us spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. However, God offers eternal life as a gift through Jesus Christ.

3. God’s Love and Provision

Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die for our sins, even though we did nothing to deserve it.

4. Salvation Through Faith

Romans 10:9-10
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Salvation comes through confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection, which justifies us before God.

5. The Assurance of Salvation

Romans 10:13
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Salvation is available to everyone who sincerely calls on Jesus in faith.

6. Peace with God

Romans 5:1
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Through faith in Jesus, we are justified and can have peace with God.

7. Freedom in Christ

Romans 8:1
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Believers are no longer under the condemnation of sin. They are free in Christ and have the promise of eternal life.
